I love this cake.
I made it for a friend that I haven't seen in at least 8 years. It turned out so beautiful and 'simply elegant', not to sound trite. I had alot of fun collaborating with her on the design and the end result was perfect.
It makes me laugh to realize that at least three times during the making of this cake I wanted to throw in the towel ( I'm pretty sure I do that almost every cake). I'm always so pleasantly surprised and reassured when all the imperfect parts and pieces come together for a perfect unity. Pheeew ;)
